FAQs about our 08 and 09 instant dial access numbers

    • Who can use the service?

      Anyone calling from inside the UK can use the JustCallAbroad service from any landline or mobile phone that allows access to numbers beginning with 08 and 09. Please note that our access numbers are generally not available from overseas. Please remember to ensure that you have the bill payer’s permission before using the service.

    • Do I need to register or make any prepayment?

      No, all you need to do is dial the JustCallAbroad access number; there are no accounts to set up or prepayments to be made.

    • How am I billed for the international calls I make?

      Your phone company will bill you for the cost of calling our access numbers and you will pay this in your usual way. You will be charged at the advertised pence per minute rate plus you phone company's access charge. We recommend that you check with your phone company before using the service to find out what this access charge may be.

    • Do you apply any additional charges?

      We do not apply any additional charges.

    • Is VAT included in the price?

      Yes, when you receive your bill from phone company it will show the net value of the call with VAT added at the end of the bill.

    • When do I start being billed?

      Billing, via your provider, will start from the moment you connect to the service.

    • What is the cost of calling your numbers?

      Calls Range from 1p per min to 75p per min, depending on you destination. If using the Virtual Calling Card you will be charged a one off fee of £5 (which you will receive in credit) for any calls made to the Virtual Calling Card number.

    • Do I need to pre-register to use this service?

      No. All you need to do dial 0908 807 7349. You will then hear a message from us confirming your unique PIN. When you use this PIN your account will been credited with £5. Please note that the SMS service is not available to Virgin and Vodafone customers.

    • How do I dial an international number?

      First dial the access number 0203 173 1731 if you dialled the 0905 number, and listen to the instructions. Enter your PIN and then dial your destination number when prompted, remembering to include the full country code. DO NOT PRESS THE SEND BUTTON ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED BY YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER AT THEIR FULL INTERNATIONAL RATE.

    • What will it cost me to call the access number?

      Calling the access number will cost you your standard network operator's rate for dialling a UK landline. Those of you with monthly bundled minutes on your talk plan can use these to pay for calls to the access number for no extra charge.

    • Are there any other charges?

      Calls using the 0905 access number have no connection charges. There are no daily charges or any other charges when using this service. The advertised rate remains the same, no matter what the time of day may be or which service provider you are using. Please remember that all unused credit expires 60 days from the date of first use. Please note also that rates are subject to change without notice, so please check our website regularly or subscribe to our newsletter to keep up to date with the latest prices. Any calls to premium rate services may be charged at a much higher rate than those advertised, please check with our customer services before making a call if you are unsure whether your number is a premium rate service.

    • What countries can I call using this service? Can I make calls to mobile phones?

      You can use this service to make cheap international calls to landlines and mobiles in any country around the world.

    • Can I use my calling credit from a landline or another mobile phone?

      Yes, you can use this service to call from any landline or any mobile phone.

    • Is there a maximum amount of credit I can have at any one time?

      To prevent possible fraud and keep our costs down you are only allowed to purchase a maximum of 6 calling cards from any phone in any 24 hour period.
